Extra credit is always welcome by individual arrangement. Points are NOT deducted
for late work, and extensions on assignment deadlines are freely granted to all
students if requested in advance. There's no excuse for failure!
Each class will negotiate its own teacher/student contract. The following are a
suggested starting place:
1. Students will treat each other and their teacher with respect and dignity.
2. Students will be respectful of school property and the property of others.
3. Students will be conscientious of the safety of themselves and others.
4. Students will arrive on time and ready to participate in class.
5. Students will notify teacher immediately if they are struggling in class, either
academically or personally.
6. Student who are upset with or opposed to teacher's actions/comments will discuss
said opinion with teacher in private, rather than in front of the entire class (if
possible).
7. Apologies will be expected and accepted in a timely manner if the above policies
are violated (because we all have a bad day every now and then.) If violation is
recurring, further disciplinary action will be taken. Progressive discipline will include
phone calls home, detentions, and long boring lectures from Ms. Anderson.
1. Teacher will treat all students with dignity and respect at all times.
2. Teacher will respect student property and privacy.
3. Teacher will pay attention to each individual student each day.
4. Teacher will arrive in class on time prepared to teach.
5. Teacher will address all student concerns as quickly as possible.
6. Teacher will listen to all student complaints, as long as they are delivered in private,
rather than in front of the entire class.
7. Apologies will be given in a timely manner if the above policies are violated,
because even teachers have bad days once in a while. If an apology is not offered,
students may request said apology.
